âYou good with stopping in at a couple more stores before we finish for the night?â Gideon studied Grace in the harsh florescent mall light. He didnât think it was the unflattering light that gave Gracie the dark circles under her eyes.
She wasnât sleeping again, and it was all his fault.
âYes.â
âYou sure?â
âI said yes, didnât I?â She raised an eyebrow at him.
Gracie was a bit short tempered and impatient even when she wasnât royally pissed at him. He shouldnât be surprised that she was barely speaking to him tonight.
He deserved it. Heâd temporarily lost his mind last Wednesday, and now he didnât know how to walk it back.
You canât, idiot. Whatâs done is done. You need to apologize.
Yeah, he really did. Instead of apologizing, he said, âIs your insomnia back?â
They were standing near the food court and she checked her watch. âWe need to hurry. The mall closes in half an hour.â
She was carrying a clipboard in one hand and she looked over the papers clipped to it as Gideon looked her over. She was wearing her scrubs from work and her curly hair was piled into a messy bun on top of her head. It was a far cry from the sexy tight top and curve hugging jeans she wore to the meeting at Wandaâs, but if she was trying to look less attractive to him, it was a battle sheâd never win. It didnât matter what Gracie wore, she always looked amazing. Always.
Although, he could admit the way the shirt she wore last Wednesday clung to her breasts had given him one hell of a woody. Heâd barely been able to concentrate on what Wanda was saying the entire meeting.
After the meeting, heâd had to sit in the dining room until everyone left and think about baseball until his erection went away. Too bad Cheri had returned and cornered him before he could leave.
He grimaced. The woman had straight up offered to go back to his place and blow him when he declined her invitation to go for coffee. He admired a woman who went after what she wanted and he wasnât upset by her blunt approach to what she wanted from him, but when sheâd kissed him, heâd immediately been pissed.
The fact that Gracie saw the whole damn thing just made it that much worse.
I donât know. It meant you got to kiss Gracie, got to see how beautiful she was when she was coming all over your fingers. Maybe you should send Cheri a thank you note. She helped you discover that Gracie is submissive.
That was a dangerous thought. Just because Grace liked being pinned down a little, liked the idea of doing what Gideon said in bed, in no way meant that she wanted to be handcuffed to his bed, or spanked, or any other wickedly delicious things he would do to a naked and handcuffed Gracie.
She said she was thinking about being handcuffed to your bed.
Fuck, if he kept thinking about that one stupid
